Independent United States presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Junior has announced his running mate for the 2024 November presidential elections. Nicole Shanahan will be running for the vice presidency alongside Kennedy. The Thirty-eight (38yrs) years old attorney and technology entrepreneur from the Saint Francisco Bay Area is also the former wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin. She has never held any electoral office but has previously donated to Democratic presidential candidates.  Robert Kennedy made his announcement at a rally in Oakland California. Kennedy praised Shanahan that she has the skills necessary to be a great vice president and she agrees with him that the United States government no longer served the people but it is for the world street and the extremely wealthy. Shanahan during the rally stated that "It has become part of my determination to do something for my country" and that " The purpose of wealth is to help those in need " She said &

A ship collapsed in the early hours of Tuesday 26 March 2024, in the United States City of Baltimore and many people were thrown into the Patapsco River below. The container ship was less than 30 minutes into its 27-day voyage to Sri Lanka when things went horribly wrong. Reports say the crew warned port authorities of a possible coalition. The ship hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge a major transport bridge for Maryland on the US East Coast. The bridge and an unknown number of vehicles plunge into the river. The governor of Maryland has declared a state of emergency and said the response team is doing all they can to rescue victims, as a search operation continued hours later. Two people were rescued from the river one with severe injuries. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott says "It is an unthinkable strategy and they should all pray for those who are impacted, for the families, and thank the first respondence for working together". On a momentous occasion for Senegal, opposition candidate   Bassirou Diomaye Faye   has emerged victorious in the presidential election. Provisional results reveal that Faye secured an impressive   53.7%   of the votes, while the ruling coalition’s candidate,   Amadou Ba , trails behind with   36.2% . Faye’s win represents a seismic shift in Senegalese politics. His campaign, fueled by promises of transformative change, struck a chord with voters yearning for a new direction. Notably, Faye faced adversity during his candidacy, enduring imprisonment just days before the election. Undeterred, he rallied supporters and became a symbol of hope for Senegal’s future. Outgoing President  Macky Sall  gracefully accepted the election results, ensuring a peaceful transfer of power. President-elect Faye expressed gratitude to Sall for fostering a harmonious electoral process and pledged to work towards national unity and reconciliation.
