CATHOLIC PRIEST LEAD PROTEST TO THE SDO's OFFICE IN NDOP NORTH WEST REGION

On Friday the 12th of January 2024, a Catholic priest of Saint Peter and Paul parish Bamunka Ndop demonstrated the power of dialogue by leading a protesting delegation of interdenominational Christians to see the Senior Divisional officer (SDO) about his actions of threatening shop owners to open their shops on Monday's which has been respected as a ghost town day in the Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon in remembrance of the thousand of anglophones who lost their lives in the hands of the Cameroon military, also the SDO sealed shops and collected moto bikes from bike owners who refused to boycott ghost town which lead to roads being blocked by the separatist fighters.

The spokesman who channeled the grievances of the angry protesters to the SDO was the Rev Father. The senior divisional officer then tendered an apology after listening and in his words said " He only reacted that way because the separatist fighters pissed him off" The question we further asked is if you claim to be a leader are you not supposed to protect and help your people rather than inflicting pain on them?. The Senior divisional officer assured the protesters that he was going to open all the shops sealed and return the confiscated moto bikes.
