General Brice Nguema sworn in as the transitional president of Gabon
General Brice Nguema has been sworn in as the new leader of Gabon. Nguema is the head of the National Restoration Committee (CNR), who overthrew President Ali Bongo Ondimba in a coup on August 30. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the presidential palace in Libreville, the capital of Gabon. Nguema was sworn in by the chief justice of the Supreme Court, Ephraim Mba Abessolo.
