T he spacecraft was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. Aditya-L1 is named after Aditya, the Hindu god of the sun. The spacecraft is designed to study the sun's atmosphere, including the corona, chromosphere, and photosphere. It will also study the sun's magnetic field and its impact on the solar system. Aditya-L1 will be placed in a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange point L1, which is a point in space where the gravitational forces of the sun and Earth are balanced. This orbit will allow Aditya-L1 to study the sun continuously without being blocked by the Earth. Aditya-L1, a solar mission undertaken by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), is a remarkable endeavor with significant implications for solar research and India's space program: Sun's Atmosphere Study: Aditya-L1 is designed to comprehensively study the sun's atmosphere, encompassing the corona, chromosphere, and photosphere.
