NIGERIAN CHEF ATTEMPTS TO BREAK GUINESS WORLD RECORD
Hilda Effiong Bassey is a 27-year-old chef born in Akwa Ibom state Nigeria.From a home of cooks as her mother is a chef and owns a restaurant in Nigeria called Calabar pot. She has her brand called My Food by Hilda. Hilda is on a mission to break the world record of longest cooking chef, she set up her cooking marathon at Amore Garden Lekki, Lagos State Nigeria and called it “Cook-A-Thon” inspired from the word marathon.She started this cook-A-Thon on Thursday 11th of May 2023 and will end on the 15th of May 2023. The longest cooking time anyone has ever done is held by an Indian Chef Lata Tondon who cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes and won the Guinness world record in 2019.For Hilda to beat this record, and become the world’s longest cooking Chef, she plans to cook for 97 hours for four days.
