Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is currently contemplating legal action against his own club following the posting and subsequent deletion of a video on the official TikTok account of the Serie A side. The video in question depicted Osimhen missing a penalty against Bologna, accompanied by a sped-up voiceover. Despite Osimhen's significant contributions to Napoli, having scored 31 goals across all competitions, he found himself the subject of an unusual video that was later removed from the club's TikTok account. Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, released a statement on Tuesday evening addressing the incident, expressing that the video had caused "severe harm to the player" and asserting their right to pursue legal recourse. The video has been widely criticized as distasteful and offensive, with suggestions that it may negatively impact Osimhen's potential transfer fee.

In a tweet, Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, stated, "The events that unfolded today on Napoli's official TikTok profile are unacceptable. A video mocking Victor was initially made public and subsequently, albeit belatedly, removed. This is a grave matter that has inflicted significant harm upon the player, compounding the mistreatment he has endured recently through media trials and false information." Calenda further declared, "We retain the right to pursue legal action and any other necessary measures to safeguard Victor." The incident has reportedly strained the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli manager Rudi Garcia. Osimhen's agent has threatened legal action against Napoli after the club shared, then deleted, a TikTok video that appeared to ridicule the esteemed striker. The video has been deemed "unacceptable" by Osimhen's agent and "not acceptable" by Al Jazeera.
Numerous fans and football enthusiasts have expressed their support for Osimhen's decision to pursue legal action against the club. Some have even speculated that this incident may have long-term ramifications for Osimhen's career.

The occurrence has the potential to significantly reduce Osimhen's transfer valuation should he decide to join another club. Osimhen played a pivotal role in Napoli's triumphant attainment of their first league championship in thirty years, emerging as a crucial contributor with an impressive tally of 31 goals across various competitions.
