Dozens Of Persons Death During A Rally In Pakistin To Mark Prophet Birthday

At least 52 people were killed and 58 others were wounded in a suspected suicide bomb blast at a procession to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The attack took place on September 29, 2023 during a procession in a town called Mastung, which is about 50 kilometers west of Quetta. The bomber blew himself up near the vehicle of Deputy Superintendent of Police Nawaz Gishkori. The death toll from the blast has climbed to 52, and the toll could further rise as many people were in a serious condition. The attack is one of the deadliest targeting civilians in Pakistan in months. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement. The Pakistan Taliban have repeatedly said that they do not target places of worship or civilians. The prophet’s birthday is widely celebrated as a national holiday in Pakistan, and tens of thousands were estimated to participate in rallies across Pakistan on the day of the attack.

 


The cause of the blast at the Pakistan rally was a powerful bomb that exploded near a mosque during a procession to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad. where around 500 people had gathered for the procession. The blast was caused by a suicide bomber. The local community in Mastung, Balochistan province, Pakistan, responded with shock and grief because for them it was a day of celebration and all the victims did not deserved just a death.Videos from the aftermath of the attack circulating on social media showed hundreds of people gathered around bodies splayed across pools of blood. Critically injured people were being transferred to the provincial capital, Quetta, around 20 miles away. The wounded were taken to nearby hospitals, and some were in critical condition. The attack was one of the deadliest targeting civilians in Pakistan in months.. The authorities have asked police to remain on maximum alert, saying militants could target rallies for Mawlid an-Nabi.
