HEAVY RAIN FALL CAUSES HUGE DISTRUCTION IN SOUTHWEST REGION OF CAMEROON

The heavy rain fall this 19th March 2023, in Buea the South West Region of Cameroon caused alot of destruction. Due to the heavy storms, it has been reported that one toddler is death and several others in a critic condition.

There has been alot of casualties as many houses and shops collapse as a result of the heavy rain storms.The population is in fear since this is the first rain fall experienced this year 2023. 


The population have blame the government for lack of a good drainage system in this locality. Couple with the fact that the where no first responders so the inhabitants had to fight for themselves to safe properties and lives. Such incidents have also been resported in other southern Africa countries likes Mozambique earlier this year.

As the mpox outbreak continues to escalate across Africa, the continent is facing a critical shortage of vaccines necessary to combat the virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently declared the situation a public health emergency of international concern, highlighting the urgency of the crisis.
