Pope Francis Says Homosexuality Is Not a Crime

  Pope Francis criticized laws that criminalize homosexuality as “unjust,” saying God loves all his children just as they are and called on Catholic bishops who support the laws to welcome LGBTQ people into the church. “Being homosexual isn’t a crime,” Francis said during an exclusive interview on Tuesday with the Associated press Francis acknowledged that Catholic bishops in some parts of the world support laws that criminalize homosexuality or discriminate against LGBTQ people, and he himself referred to the issue in terms of “sin.” But he attributed such attitudes to cultural backgrounds, and said bishops in particular need to undergo a process of change to recognize the dignity of everyone. Francis said there needed to be a distinction between sin and a crime when it came to homosexuality. The Catholic Church considers homosexual acts “intrinsically disordered” and a sin, but believes that people in the L.G.B.T.Q. community should be welcomed with respect and sensitivity.

Cameroon: Young girl kills 5 months old Son by giving tramadol and strangling.

  A young girl in her 20s in Likomba a neighborhood in Tiko, southwest region of Cameroon has reportedly killed her own son. According to inhabitants in the neighborhood she drugged her baby and eventually strangled him to dead . Other sources stated that the young mother    gave her 5 months old baby Tramadol to enable the baby sleep. According to the grandmother of the young girl, it isn’t the first time that the girl is drugging the young boy.  The first time she caught her drugging the child, she interrogated the daughter but the daughter told her they were mere pills.” The girl who was mercilessly beaten by the population has been taken to the local police station in Tiko.

THE CAMEROON GOVERNMENT FINALLY BOWS TO INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE

Six years into the war in the northwest and southwest region of Cameroon, between the Cameroon government and the separatist leader (Ambazonia), the government has always made it a policy not to engage in any form of negotiation with the separatist Leaders even after soo much pressure from the international community.    The Cameroon government organized a grand national dialogue 3 years ago in other to solve the problem but all the resolutions arrived at have either been partially implemented or not even implemented at all even though the separatist still hold grounds that the resolutions arrived at did not meet their demands. After a failure in the Swizz-led dialogue that was organized by HD in Switzerland and was also endorsed by other western countries the Cameroon government did not show up for the dialogue.  With so much pressure coming from the international community, The Cameroon government was left with no choice but to accept to be a party to this negotiation to be held in C
