 Popular Australian singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, and activist Olivia Newton john is dead. She dies at the age of 73 years. Her wonderful and breathtaking voice made her to be known as one of the biggest pop stars of the 70s. May her soul rest in peace and we wish the family peace and love.

POPULAR NIGERIAN ARTIST KISS DANIEL HAS BEEN ARRESTED

A popular Nigerian musician Kiss Daniel has been arrested by the Tanzanian police for boycotting a musical concert. It is said that he had a concert on the 06th of August 2022, but the artist did not show up on the fact that the aircraft carrying his luggage has not arrived, so he cannot perform without his dresses. The organizers of the concert bought him new dresses but he declined. He was therefore arrested.    It should be noted that the organizers are claiming that they have spent more than $300000 to organize the said show. This action has stirred lots of anger from his fans as some even complained that he is fun of not respecting his fans and has been noted for not keeping to time during his concerts

A WOMAN GIVES REASON FOR ENGAGING IN TO DRUG TRAFFICKING

 A mother of three kids by name Jatau   Lydia Lami , 35 years of age who was arrested on Sunday the 31st July 2022 by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, for drug trafficking has today said the motive behind her engaging in to drugs was to  raise N5m as  ransom to pay bandits. She was arrested  at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for attempting to export 1,700 tablets of Tramadol 225mg concealed in her luggages to Istanbul, Turkey through Turkish Airline flight.           The suspect hails from Zango in Kaduna State, Nigeria and lives in Istanbul, Turkey with her family. The NDLEA spoke person, Femi Babafemi, said in a statement on Sunday 07th  August 2022, stated that the suspect blamed her action on pressure to raise N5million ransom to free her mother from the captivity of bandits who kidnapped her since June. .

Horniman Museum in London to return 72 looted artefacts back to Nigeria

  Horniman Museum in London  agrees to return a looted collection of 72 treasured artefacts, including 12 Benin Bronzes, back to Nigeria. These artefacts were stolen from Nigeria by British troops in 1897, the artefacts will be transferred to the Nigerian government. on August 5, the chairwoman of the Trustees of the Horniman Museum and Gardens in Forest Hill, south-east London,  Eve Salomon , said, “The evidence is very clear that these objects were acquired through force, and external consultation supported our view that it is both moral and appropriate to return their ownership to Nigeria.” This comes after the Nigeria’s National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM) asked that the artifacts be returned in January 2022.
