Cameroon: 22-year-old Boy kills father for refusing him Christmas money

 A Boy who is 22-years of age has reportedly killed his father in Bandjoun, West Region of Cameroon for refusing to give him Christmas money.

The  incident occurred  in Badjoun, West region  on the 25th of December where a young man had requested some money from his father to spend on Christmas Day. 


The father refused forcing the 22 year old out of anger to hit him with a big stone on the back of his head, He  felt and died instantly



The young man later transporting his father’s corpse from the compound to the bathroom, took his wallet and went out to have fun with his friends.


Family members thought the Father had died in his sleep but after taking him to the hospital, medical reports showed that he was hit behind his head.

UN Committee Reviews Cameroon Amidst Alarming Torture Allegations

United Nations Committee Against Torture is currently holding its eighty-first session in Geneva from October 28 to November 22, 2024. During this session, the committee is reviewing Cameroon's fifth periodic report on its compliance with the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. Simon Ekpa Arrested in Finland

Simon Ekpa, a Finnish-Nigerian activist and self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, was recently arrested in Finland alongside four others on suspicion of terrorism-related activities. Ekpa is linked to the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group campaigning for the independence of southeastern Nigeria. Simon Ekpa Finnish authorities charged Ekpa with public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent.
