SAWA TRADITIONAL RULERS MET TODAY FOR A PLANNING MEETING

 Today the 16th of August 2022,the Ngundo traditional assembly met in the economic capital of Cameroon, Douala to plan for the upcoming Sawa festival which is going to take place in December 2022. After due  deliberations,they came out with the theme of this year festival "Ngundambua Azi Sawo" meaning "love for fatherland" and the traditional rulers said the reason behind this theme is because of the socio political crisis some regions in cameroon are facing.





This festival is a way of life for the Ngundo people or Sawa which always takes place every December of the year but for the last two years this festival has not been celebrated due to the out break of Covid-19.

Kenyan Lady sentence to death in Vietnam for drug trafficking.

Macharia Margaret Nduta, a 37-year-old Kenyan woman, has been sentenced to death in Vietnam for drug trafficking. This case has garnered significant attention due to the severe penalties associated with drug offenses in the country.  Nduta's journey into this dire situation began when she was recruited by a man named "John" in Kenya, who offered her  $1,300  (approximately  Ksh 167,000 ) for the job and covered her travel expenses, including air tickets. As she embarked on her journey, Nduta successfully passed through  three airports undetected , including  Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)  in Nairobi. However, her luck ran out in  July 2023  when she was arrested at  Tan Son Nhat Airport  in  Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam . French billionaire Vincent Bolloré and his son are facing serious allegations of fraud and corruption related to port concessions in several African countries, including Cameroon, Togo, and Ghana. These allegations stem from claims that Bolloré's group engaged in illegal practices to secure lucrative contracts for operating ports in these regions.
